Anju House

First time to Anju House it very much has an "house" feel with cute and chill décor with in and out seating. I went there around 6pm and did not have an issue finding street parking, but I could see it being an issue later in the night. When I initially entered in, there was no one at the front desk so I waited....and waited...and waited. After about 10 minutes, I walked into restaurant and found a server. He said that when it's not busy, no one really mans the front desk. I guess customers are supposed to just know to walk into the back. Very strange. As for the menu, I was very happy with the food options. It had so many things that I liked or sounded interesting. What wasn't happy were the prices. The prices are high considering portion size. Like really high. The prices for the "Small Anju" dishes seem reasonable, until you see the portion size. The "Big Anju" are regular sized dishes that are very expensive. Like, how do these young people ( a definite younger crowd that comes in later in the night) afford to eat out at places like this? Order one or two dishes and share? I ordered the Spicy Seafood Udon, Spicy Korean Fried Chicken, and the Fried Rice Cakes and Sausage. The Spicy Seafood Udon was good, but nothing unique. The Spicy Korean Fried Chicken was very well seasoned and tasty. The Fried Rice Cakes and Sausage was just okay. I felt that it needed more sauce and have had much better at other places. I would be interested in trying some of the other dishes, but considering the prices, I would hesitate to come back. The food wasn't extraordinary enough for me to ignore the prices. Overall, I wouldn't be opposed to going back, but not my first option.

They say that Anju House serves serves Korean bar food with beer, soju, and cocktails, but it is so much more. They have some of the best Korean food and I swear some of it reminds me of Italian food. You can get small bites, order a bunch of stuff and share or order a full meal. It is all great. There is nothing not to like and you will be happy. The service is great. They are kind and will explain the menu to you. They get your order right and are all smiles. Now, it can get very crowded at night and I don't know if they take reservations so call and find out. We have been several times and have done take away a few times when it is crowded. Either way, you will get great service and be happy. The place is super clean and really pretty. It is very comfortable. They have a full bar and Anju refers to food that is consumed with alcohol, but we have never had a drink there. It is a tad pricey, but the food is worth it always. We love their calamari and their noodles and any shrimp dish is the best. They have things I had never tried before. Just ask the server and you will be guided.

This was our first time here and it won't be our last. This restaurant was a house that was converted into a restaurant. The restaurant is in the backyard and it feels like you are at a backyard cook out with tour friends. We saw people eating and then playing cards just having a good time. This place really is a vibe. RSVP because its a long wait. The service is slow, but the bus boys help out alot. We felt like the bus boys do most of the work. They really should promote the bus boys because they are doing everything the waiters should be doing except taking orders. We live an hour away and the food was worth the drive. The valet messed up my car and didn't say anything.

It was my first time, and I was totally 100% disappointed with the service. The service was horrible. The servers did not even let us know how we could order the food. You actually have to scan the barcode to see the online menu, but we didn’t know that because nobody told us. So we were sitting there for like 10 minutes doing nothing. After that, there were no recommendations about the food. After like 20 minutes, the server came and asked if we were ready to order anything. I said, “I have no idea,” and he said, “ok,” and just left. This is the worst, most horrible service that I have ever had so far in my whole life. Thank you.

After reading reviews and watching video reviews as well, we thought we give this place a try. Bad idea. I had a terrible experience at Anju House. The customer service was extremely poor, starting with over 1.5-hour wait for a table. When we politely asked about our seating status after waiting for an hour. I communicated I noticed there were open 4 or so tables that can accommodate 4-5 people each table and if any parties will be seated soon. The staff were dismissive, felt annoyed that I asked such a reasonable question, told me in a rude way to wait because they don’t have enough cooks and doing what they can to get people seated as soon as they can. I noticed many people were finished eating, and just conversing, which likely explains their poor seating system and care for customer service. To make matters worse, their seating priority is completely unfair and broken. We had a party of five and watched them seat other groups of our size who arrived after us. It gave the distinct impression of preferential treatment, serving their own kind first. Once we finally got a table, it took another 30 minutes just for the staff to take our order. When the food did arrive, it was barely subpar. The bulgogi was intestines and not traditional meat. The kimchi pork belly was also disappointing. The kimchi was overly salty. The food is way overpriced. Everyone in the party was disappointed and agrees. I respectfully provided the feedback again on the poor service regarding our seating experience and they pushed out back saying that’s what we should expect if we come in the evening, nothing they need to do better. You can find better Korean food elsewhere most places in K-town at half the price. I would give this place less than 1 star if I could. I do not recommend dining here or trusting the reviews. Parking is also difficult to find and requires valet which is $6. For the business owners you seriously need to review your seating system, staff attitude, and the quality and price of your food, which reflects poorly in your overall customer service and experience.

This restaurant has an amazing backyard-style vibe, like a house turned into a lively cookout spot where people relax, eat, and even play cards. The food and cocktails are genuinely great and worth the drive, even if you’re coming from far away. However, service can be inconsistent and slow, with long waits even when the place isn’t full. The atmosphere and concept are a real gem, but the overall experience depends heavily on how busy and organized the staff is that day. If they call that a website, then the internet shouldn’t even exist It's not hard now days to have a decent website

Tried Anju House and was really impressed! Furikake Fried Chicken (5/5) – Wow. Boneless, super savory, perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Even the pickled radishes on the side were tasty. Animal Fries (4/5) – Fries were perfectly cooked with just the right amount of sauce—flavorful without being too heavy. Cracked Corn (4.5/5) – Nice and crispy, almost like a fun twist on Mexican street corn. Ambiance: Great spot for dates, groups, or just hanging out—chill and stylish vibe. Service (3/5): Staff were friendly and checked in often, though one dish came out about 20 minutes late and servers seemed a bit distracted at times. Overall, would definitely recommend and would happily go back!

Being around this area you expect late night food after walking all day at Universal and avoiding bad food at the Hilton . WHAT A GEM 💎 THIS PLACE IS !!!!!! ( sᴏʀʀʏ ғᴏʀ ᴛʜᴇ sᴄʀᴇᴀᴍɪɴɢ) like an oasis in the middle of the desert accompanied with friendly service and meals out straight from heaven. Forgot to mention …. Don’t skip the cocktails
