Exclusively Raw Hair and Nails

I’ve been going here for years. I started going for manicures and pedicures. After a few manicures, I realized I need a much higher quality level for my hands. They don’t really do art and/or gel x at the level I require. They often broke and/or were too thick. But, they do a great job on pedicures - especially Alan. So, I went for that reason today. Usually, Alan does my pedicures but I needed a last minute appointment so I went with an older woman I’ve never seen there. I noticed she was barely soaking my old gel pedicure and was using a knife (holding scissors sideways) to take most of the polish off. I asked her for more soaking (she was annoyed) and my nails immediately started burning. Usually a blunt tool is used for this process, my issue was that she was basically using a knife and taking off layers of my nail. The soak off is the safest way to do this process. I asked her again to not use a knife, at this she said I could wait for Alan and got up angrily and made a huge scene by yelling (in her language) across the entire salon. It was completely uncalled for and unnecessary. Not to mention, it was disrespectful after being a customer for years and always treating the staff with respect. I don’t tolerate this type of behavior so I won’t be returning.

I’ve been coming to this nail salon for a while now, and it’s hands down my favorite. The staff is always welcoming, they really take their time to make sure everything looks perfect. My nails always come out exactly how I want them whether I go for something simple or more detailed. They’re also really gentle, which I appreciate. It’s just a relaxing, feel-good experience every time. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place that actually cares about the quality of their work.

This is the first time using this salon, and I am really happy with the service and results. I did, however, have them do a house call instead of going to the salon. I normally go to the salon but due to circumstances I'm unable to go. Given it was a house call I knew it was going to cost more. However, the person who came was so sweet and did an excellent job. I had a regular mani pedi done and it came out beautiful. I cant wait until I can go in person to get the full experience.

Starting this review, I feel it's important to note that I am a male, which might color my perspective on nail and foot care somewhat differently. In my view, my insights might not hold as much weight as those of many women, given their likely greater experience with manicures, pedicures, and the like. Nonetheless, I ventured into Lakeside Nail Spa following recommendations from my partner and his friend—both men—who praised the quality of service they received there. Deciding to indulge in some self-care after a long day, with weary hands and feet, I visited Lakeside Nail Spa. The warm and friendly welcome by the staff set a positive tone from the start. An appointment was necessary, but upon entering, I was immediately struck by the cleanliness and orderliness of the place. It was busy, a testament to its popularity, but everything was conducted in a highly hygienic manner. My experience was exceptionally positive. I was impressed with the meticulous care given to my nails and feet, areas I admittedly don't often focus on. The attention to detail, from managing cuticles to the relaxing massage, was remarkable. The cleanliness, tidiness, and hygienic practices of the spa were evident throughout my visit. Completing my session, I left feeling satisfied and rejuvenated, my hands and feet significantly better for the visit. I am genuinely glad I decided to go and can wholeheartedly recommend Lakeside Nail Spa to anyone in search of top-notch nail and foot care in a clean, welcoming environment with excellent customer service.

Great little shop. I got a regular manicure without gel and the polish lasted longer than expected before it began peeling.

I’ve been to a few nail salons in the neighborhood and I’ve found my favorite here! Very kind people, thorough work and also good prices! Will be back for sure!

This is the only place I go for a mani/pedi - professional, clean, gentle, and friendly. I recently started getting Gel X nails and Yen is terrific. She takes so much time and care to get it just right (my hands aren’t great, but she is 😉). Kay is my favorite for a pedi and Trizzie, who is the owner, is there to make sure everything goes well.
